On the occasion of the 18th edition of the Just For Joy Festival, Outdoor Arts Italia announces an important initiative dedicated to dialogue and reflection on the arts in public spaces at the service of rights. The FNAS Talk will take place on October 3, 2024 at Spazio Kairòs in Turin, with the aim of addressing issues related to the protection and promotion of rights through art.
Recalling Article 3 and Article 18 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the FNAS Talk aims to explore how art can act as a vehicle for raising awareness and educating on fundamental rights. Outdoor Arts Italia ETS, an evolution of FNAS, aims to enhance the transformative power of the performing arts, involving artists, associations and experts in a constructive discussion.
Speakers:
Maria Chiara Tarantello, Associazione Intreccio Viola APS, a Turin-based association that promotes the culture of consensus and well-being through meetings and artistic activities.
Francesca Toffaldano, Research Scholar, Department of Law, University of Turin, will discuss the activities of the Legal Clinic "Prison, fundamental rights and social vulnerability" and the contribution of the theater workshop "GAME-OVER" created with the Compagnia Teatro e Società.
Elisabetta Baro, Teatro e Società. She will share her experience of artistic production in educational and social contexts, highlighting the role of theater within penal institutions.
Stefano Bosco, Stalker Teatro. She will present the workshops created in schools and penitentiary contexts, focusing on the importance of art as a tool for social change.
Rosalba Castelli, Associazione ArteMixia. She will illustrate how the association promotes art as a public and collective fact, contributing to the civil growth of the community.
Giulia Gozzelino Renken Association, Renken Association promotes values of global citizenship and international solidarity.
The FNAS Talk represents an important opportunity to explore the role of art in contemporary society and to build an active dialogue on how it can contribute to the promotion and protection of rights.
