Sicilian Human Regeneration - Nature, Contemporary Art and Performative Practices

The talk "La Rigenerazione Umana Siciliana" explores the encounter between nature, contemporary art and performative practices, with particular attention to the role they have had in the transformation of the social fabric in Sicily. Starting from the experience of FNAS LAB, a program that provided artists with innovative tools to create in public space, and which took place in the Municipality of Castelbuono thanks to the collaboration with the Associazione Il Cinghiale e la Balena, this meeting highlights how performing arts can become a vehicle for social change and community activation. Through the testimonies of artists, civic activists and institutional representatives, concrete examples of virtuous practices developed in the Sicilian context will be illustrated, where creativity and civic participation have intertwined to regenerate the territory and strengthen the sense of belonging. This event concludes a journey supported by Outdoor Arts Italia, fitting into a broader vision of art as a tool for regeneration and collective growth.
